Teaches courses in film and television aesthetics, film history, pan-Asian cinema and international action cinema. He is currently working on two research projects: (1) the transnational dimensions of the Hong Kong action cinema and (2) the discourse of han [everlasting woe] in contemporary Korean cinema.
