De-constructing a Controversial Masterpiece – The Birth of a Nation Panel Discussion

This panel discussion will address race, film director D.W. Griffith, and The Birth of a Nation. Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky, musician and writer: Pamela Wojcik, Professor, Department of Film, Television, and Theatre; Richard Pierce, Chair of Africana Studies; and William Purcell, Associate Director, Catholic Social Tradition and Practice/Center for Social Concerns will serve as panel members. Donald Crafton, Professor, Department of Film, Television, and Theatre will moderate the panel.
