Daniel Smith

Daniel Smith is Assistant Professor of Theatre Studies at Michigan State University. “[M]y most significant opportunity as an undergraduate was stage managing a mainstage production.  This taught me to communicate with theatre artists across multiple areas, a skill I have used as a professional dramaturg, an administrator for a small Chicago company (Caffeine Theatre), and now as a faculty member at MSU.  Dr. Bain and Kevin Dreyer encouraged me to pursue my interest in translation for the stage, and my translations of Marivaux and Gozzi have been performed and published.”
