Broad Avenue Filmmakers Award

The Broad Avenue Filmmakers Award was established in 2009 through a generous gift to the university from 1986 alum Mary Parent.  Each year the award is given to two outstanding films (fiction and non-fiction) made by graduating seniors. The Mary Pergola Parent and Dr. Thomas Parent Endowment for Excellence in Filmmaking also supports student filmmakers through the Broad Avenue Fund.  FTT students use Broad Avenue funds to travel to film locations, acquire music for their sound tracks, and purchase props to create their films.  These films are then submitted to the annual Notre Dame Student Film Festival and other film festivals around the world.
