In her lecture, Professor Magda Romanska will provide an in-depth look at modern representations of the disabled in theater, film, and new media. She will show how the concept of the bionic body affects representations of disability in contemporary culture, and how such representations in turn affect the changing boundaries of what is and isn't considered "human."
