Thesis Small For Web

A staged reading, presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a senior thesis in the Department of Film, Television, and Theatre.

In 1930's New England, a young nurse navigates her morals and discerns what is right from wrong in a place that is deceptively gray. Containing examinations of mental illness, God, medical malpractice, and Little House on the PrairieDymphna follows the story of a young nurse working the women's ward of a renowned New England mental institution. Her unlikely connection with a young schizophrenic patient makes her reconsider her notions of right and wrong, who possesses good and evil, and just how helpful the medical system is after all.
