AUDITIONS - ND Anti-Racist Theatre NOW - Scenes From Plays by BIPOC Playwrights

-

Location: Virtual

Virtual auditions for a Zoom reading of scenes from plays by BIPOC playwrights, directed by FTT BIPOC alumni, on Thursday, October 29 at 7:30 pm.

The presentation will be curated by FTT Professor Anne García-Romero.

Some of these Zoom readings may be recorded to accommodate actor availability.

All students, faculty, and staff are invited to create a 1 to 2 minute video (filmed on your smartphone, laptop, etc.) and upload it here no later than Monday, October 19 at 11:00 pm.

Feel free to pick an appropriate monologue from the material provided or read a poem or monologue of your own choosing. Copies of the full scripts are available in this folder.

In your video, please include the following:

1. Introduce yourself - your name, class year, major, anything else you would like us to know.

2. We’d love to have you do a brief monologue, a poem, a spoken word piece, or tell us a few great jokes.  If your piece is not memorized, please be sure that we can see your face and eyes as much as possible!

3. If you would like to perform a brief monologue for your audition, please select one from this packet. These monologues are from plays by BIPOC playwrights that we are considering for this evening of readings. We are casting an ensemble and will choose material from these plays and others that best highlights the talents of the ensemble.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email Professor García-Romero at agarci21@nd.edu
