A former ND theatre major, Stacey returned to campus in the fall of 2012 after nine years at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., where she worked in the sales, executive, and development departments before serving as Director of Education, Schools & Professional Development. In that role, she directed the Student Playwrights Project, an in-school arts education program that reached up to 800 young people each year; she also served as director of Arena’s Allen Lee Hughes Fellows and Interns program and as staff liaison for the Actors Arena, a professional development and community-building program for D.C. professional actors. As Outreach Specialist for FTT, Stacey now handles the department’s communications and outreach, including marketing, media relations, publications, website, and social media, as well as event coordination and promotion. She also collaborates with other ND arts departments to raise the profile of the arts on campus and in the community.
