ND Class of '04
After majoring in theatre at Notre Dame, Elizabeth Columbo went to law school and embarked on a legal career. After a sales role with the New York Jets, she finally found her home as an in-house corporate attorney with Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.
“Every day, I use something I learned from my theatre days, even if it is simply my presence, whether in a room full of executives or a negotiation or something as simple as walking into the cafeteria. I have learned that many people in the business world could benefit from a Siiri Scott Voice and Movement or Acting class. The computer, organizational, and project management skills Kevin Dreyer taught me all those years ago in Stage Management class still aid me in what I do every day. If I am particularly stressed, I sit down for a weekend full of television, and I am never ashamed to do so and tell others about it because Chris Becker taught me that enjoyment and study of television are as worthwhile as I always thought they were…While I love my job and my life is good, I miss being an FTT major every day.”
