Shawn Layden

Layden is the former chairman of PlayStation Worldwide Studios and served as CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America. Previously, he was CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and held key executive positions with PlayStation in Europe as well. His 32-year career with Sony completed in 2019 and he is now an independent consultant advising non-profits, start-ups, and key industry players such as Tencent and Streamline Media Group. He is a 1983 graduate of the American Studies program at Notre Dame, and divides his time between San Francisco, Tokyo, and London.
