Auditions

FTT does not hold auditions for prospective students and does not have a role in University admissions. Once admitted to Notre Dame, any student may become an FTT major and concentrate in film, television, or theatre.

Once on campus, any student of any major is welcome and encouraged to audition for FTT's shows. Auditions are also open to students, faculty, and staff at Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, and Holy Cross College.

FTT has pledged a commitment to concrete actions that expose and dismantle white supremacy, including (but not limited to) planning anti-racist theatre seasons. We are committed to providing artistic opportunities for our Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) students. We welcome students with disabilities and students of all gender identities.

We are committed to making the audition and rehearsal process accessible to all interested students. For questions about auditions and/or equity and accessibility, contact us at theatre@nd.edu.

All audition opportunities will be announced on this page.

We are always looking for students to work on sets, costumes, lighting, sound, and publicity, as well as student stage managers. Let us know your interests and we’ll put you in touch with the right people. While some roles require prior experience, many offer on-the-job training, so please contact us if you'd like to learn more. Students of any year and any major are welcome and encouraged to get involved.
