Sheila Hanahan Taylor

Sheila is both a full-time film producer and full-time educator whose main priority, when she is not on set, is helping the next generation of filmmakers find their creative path.

With over 25 feature films under her belt, including Universal Studio’s box office darling BREAKING IN, and the AMERICAN PIE and FINAL DESTINATION franchises, her films have grossed over $2 Billion in Worldwide Box Office. She has had movies awarded in competition around the globe and won accolades ranging from Film Critics Society honors to Saturn, MTV Movie and Teen Choice Awards. Prior to the Great Disney Buyout of 2019, Sheila also spent almost a decade running the room for the Fox TV Writers Lab, where she oversaw the development of over 75 original pilots and helped staff new voices into network shows, including RICK & MORTY, ONCE UPON A TIME, FRESH OFF THE BOAT and many others. She also regularly runs labs for Film Independent and Screen Australia, including their Talent Gateway and Gender Matters initiatives, which focus on developing stories for under-represented voices and perspectives including LGBTQ and Indigenous Writers and Directors. Upcoming projects include a sixth installment of New Line Studio’s FINAL  DESTINATION franchise; psychological drama CELLAR DOOR for Lionsgate; and the military actioner WHITE STAR, in partnership with Film Nation, Constatin, and Culmination Films.

As an instructor and mentor, she sits on multiple University and Workshop Boards, runs screenwriting and producing labs around the world, has been an instructor in the Graduate and Professional Programs at UCLA film school for 20 years, is a specialist on Pitching and Branding, and believes everyone has a story to tell.
