To Be Well is a modern play inspired by the writings of the medieval female Christian mystic, Julian of Norwich. The play centers around Liz, a high school student whose spiritual life is greatly impacted by both the mystical writings of Julian and her own intense mental health struggles. As Liz begins to have trouble distinguishing whether her spiritual experiences are a result of mystical revelation or of her mental illness, Julian and her writings impact the bodies, minds, and souls of all those around Liz.
