Confined to her home with a serious illness, seventeen-year-old Caroline first encounters classmate Anthony as an unwelcome visitor, when he arrives at her bedroom door bearing her American lit homework. But as they spar over Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass, they spark an unexpected connection – a connection that leads to a breathtaking twist in the play’s final moments, revealing the extraordinary nature of their bond.
I and You requires a multi-ethnic cast - actors of all races and ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition.
Open to all ND/SMC/HCC students (any major). First Year students are welcome and encouraged to audition.
Visit the FTT office (230 DeBartolo Performing Arts Center) for audition materials and to sign up for an audition time. Scripts are also available and may be signed out for 2 hours.
