Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead
by Tom Stoppard
directed by Nick Buranicz '23
part of the FTT Student Theatre Festival
Two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet take center stage in Tom Stoppard’s inventive absurdist tragicomedy. Echoing the absurdism of Waiting for Godot and the comedy stylings of Abbott and Costello, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead explores the human condition in its continuous conversation of life, purpose, and, perhaps most profoundly, the prospects of free will.
